Alisha Trusty serves as the Chief Strategist of Friendship-West and as Pastor Haynes' Executive Assistant.

Alisha Trusty currently serves as the Chief Strategist at Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. A seasoned professional of over 23 years; she has been blessed to have served in various leadership roles the past 17 years. As Chief Strategist, Alisha provides support and advisement to the Sr. Pastor, Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III, and is responsible for communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives and partnerships as well as helping to manage and evaluate the overall organizational effectiveness of the church. In addition, she also leads the execution of special projects that support the vision of Dr. Haynes, Friendship-West Baptist Church, and the ministry initiatives of the church. Alisha’s expertise in data management, leadership development, organizational development, and project management has made her an invaluable asset and member of the staff of Friendship-West. Prior to her current role, Alisha spent 16 years as an educator and served in various roles including teacher, mentor, assistant principal, principal, leadership coach, consultant, and adjunct university instructor before transitioning to the corporate sector. In the corporate environment Alisha provided high level administrative and leadership support to a global company that earned more than a billion dollars in revenue annually. She was responsible for setting and supporting growth targets and the organizational goals in 22 countries worldwide. As a result of her effective communication and process improvement skills and her ability to support, coach and develop global leaders, Alisha earned numerous awards and accolades. A desire to serve in a capacity that directly impacted the lives of others and to fight against global injustice influenced her decision to leave corporate and return to the non-profit sector as a staff member at Friendship-West Baptist Church.

A believer in life-long learning, Alisha earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Morgan State University, Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Loyola University, Master of Education in Developmental Reading from Loyola University, and a Post Graduate Certificate of Advanced Study in Transformational Leadership from Johns Hopkins University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Development and Change with a concentration in Inclusive Social Justice Leadership.

Alisha is a proud mother and enjoys going to the cinema and watching and attending sporting events with her children. She is an active member of Friendship-West Baptist Church where she serves in the Voices That Shout Domestic Violence ministry and provides support to numerous others ministries as a staff member. Alisha is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a charter member of the Morgan State University Section of National Council of Negro Women. Recognizing the importance of giving back and supporting the community we live it, she also volunteers with numerous civic and non-profit organizations in the Dallas- Ft. Worth area.
