Friendship-West Baptist Church is seeking a highly skilled, spiritually grounded, and socially conscious Executive Assistant to provide direct support to the Executive Pastor and Pastor for Pastoral Care. This individual must demonstrate a deep commitment to Jesus Christ, a heart for ministry, and a passion for serving “the least of these” including the poor, the marginalized, the underrepresented, and the unhoused.

The ideal candidate is an initiative-taking, high energy professional who anticipates needs before they arise and consistently goes beyond the call of duty. This person must thrive in a fast-paced, justice-centered ministry environment, operate with impeccable integrity, and communicate effectively with people from all walks of life, from members of Congress to individuals experiencing homelessness.

The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide professional counseling services rooted in Christian care and trauma-informed practice. This role supports the emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being of the church and surrounding community. The counselor will address a broad spectrum of need including grief, anxiety, marital and family challenges, trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, self-esteem struggles, financial stress, food insecurity, unemployment-related strain, youth identity concerns, crisis intervention, and emotional distress related to social-justice and community trauma.

The counselor will also collaborate with ministry leaders, support pastoral care programs, and develop educational programming that fosters mental health wellness and Christian wholeness.

Plan, direct, and control all credit union activities in accordance with credit union plans, policies, directives, and activities as established by the board of directors. Responsible for ensuring financial stability and member satisfaction commensurate with the best interest of the members, the employees, and the credit union. Provide strategic direction, vision, leadership, and management in all functional areas.
