Red Bird Gives: Holiday Food Giveaway

Every holiday season, several families across the Red Bird community face an impossible choice between rent, utilities, and a full table. The Red Bird Public Improvement District exists to invest in the people who make this district home — and that investment doesn't stop at infrastructure and beautification.

Created as a district-led response to food insecurity in Southern Dallas, the initiative brings together local vendors, community partners, and neighbors to provide meaningful holiday support for families across Red Bird. More than a community effort, it reflects a shared commitment to making sure Red Bird takes care of its own.

This holiday season, Red Bird is showing up for Red Bird. Neighbors, local vendors, and community partners are coming together to help families throughout the district gather, celebrate, and give thanks.

Bring your people. Bring your appetite for community. Together, let's make the holiday season a little brighter for our Red Bird neighbors.

Know Before You Go:
We're preparing 1,500 holiday food boxes for families across the Red Bird community, designed to support households of approximately 4 to 6 people. For larger households, additional support may be available depending on donations and available supplies.

When you register, you'll select a specific pickup window and receive your confirmation directly by phone or email. On event day, simply arrive during your assigned time with your confirmation ready to scan.

If your plans change and you're unable to attend, please let us know so your spot can be made available to another family.

We'll also share important updates and reminders leading up to the event. Photography and video may be captured throughout the day to celebrate and share moments from the Red Bird community.
