HCC Education Focus: Men's Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month!This month, the Healthcare Ministry is celebrating and supporting the health and well-being of the men in our church and community. Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death among Black men, and Black men face the highest risk of developing and dying from prostate cancer in the United States? The good news is that many of these health conditions can be prevented, detected early, or better managed through education, screening, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Join the Healthcare Ministry as we focus on heart health, prostate and colon cancer awareness, preventive screenings, medication management, and practical ways men can improve their health and quality of life. Educational resources, medication trackers, pill organizers, and wellness information will be available at the Healthcare Ministry 3rd Sunday screenings on June 21st after service in the Narthex to help men take charge of their health and build a stronger future for themselves, their families, and our community.
