About Us

This Praise D.A.N.C.E. Ministry utilizes dance and movement as a means of cultural and spiritual interpretation that seeks to enhance the worship experience and bring glory to God. Psalm 149:3 states “Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.” With this, the Praise Dance ministry does not perform, but rather is submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to offer an authentic and surrendered praise unto God.

The ministry supports the overall efforts of the Worship Arts Ministry at the church by ministering during worship services, major church events and holidays such as Christmas, Resurrection Sunday, and Watch Night Service, as well as special programs.  We do many collaborations with ministries within the Worship Arts community, as well as other ministries within the church such as GAAP and the Women of the West.  In addition, the praise dance ministry participates in many service projects both church-wide and as a ministry. It is our desire to fully support the vision and work of the church through all of our outreach and in-reach efforts.

How to join

In order to join the FWBC Praise D.A.N.C.E ministry, you must – • Successfully complete the New Members Orientation established by the church. • Complete the Praise D.A.N.C.E. Ministry New Member Curriculum, which includes topics related to salvation, worship, fasting, prayer, and dance technique Praise dance is a visual creative art; therefore, members are charged to live a “lifestyle” of worship whether ministering or going about their daily lives. We believe that the temple of God, our bodies, must be used for His glory. A personal committed relationship to God, an attitude of humility and service, faithful attendance to rehearsal and ministry opportunities, as well as bible study and prayer, are all areas in which we challenge each member. As a team, we strengthen our relationship with each other and with Christ by mentoring and being models for the younger dancers, and providing an encouraging sisterhood rooted in grace and love for the adult dancers.
