New Life Support Recovery Ministry is a Christ-centered ministry committed to providing a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment for individuals and families impacted by addiction, recovery, relapse, and the challenges that often accompany the healing process. NLSR is designed to create space for honest conversation, prayer, encouragement, accountability, and practical recovery support while helping participants strengthen their relationship with God and develop healthier patterns for daily living.
The ministry follows a 12-month recovery framework with a featured discussion theme each month. Topics include grace and honesty, identity, emotional pain, triggers and temptation, relapse prevention, accountability, shame and guilt, forgiveness, healthy routines, restoring relationships, rebuilding trust, and living in freedom. Each gathering is discussion-centered and allows participants to share at their own comfort level while receiving encouragement from others who understand the recovery journey.
New Life Support also recognizes that addiction affects more than the individual. Family members and loved ones are welcomed and supported as they navigate their own questions, concerns, healing, and need for community. In addition to regular ministry meetings, NLSR seeks to connect participants with appropriate support resources, including counseling, prayer support, partner churches, and community outreach opportunities.
Our goal is to build a compassionate recovery community where individuals and families can experience hope, healing, spiritual growth, restored relationships, and lasting freedom.
Individuals, family members, and supporters are welcome to participate. Interested persons may register through the approved Friendship-West registration process or connect with the ministry during an NLSR interest table, outreach event, or regular meeting. Participation is voluntary, and confidentiality and respect are emphasized throughout the ministry.
