Reverend William E White is a gifted teacher and preacher of the Word of GOD. His profound and practical preaching stimulates the head and stirs the heart. He shares Biblical truth in ways that communicates to young children and seasoned adults. His messages minister to single and married adults. No matter the venue or occasion, GOD uses him to inspire, educate, and elevate people to leave better than they came.
Overview of Responsibilities
As the Pastor of Children at Friendship-West, Rev. White is responsible for the holistic discipleship and development of children, for equipping and shepherding ministry staff, and for partnering with and empowering parents to perform their essential stewardship responsibility as the primary disciplers of their children. He ministers to children beyond the walls of the church by overseeing E3. Elevating Elementary Education (E3) is FWBC’s partnership with seven DISD elementary schools to support their academic achievements. He is thrilled that the very first year of this partnership, every one of the seven schools achieved such high standardized testing scores that six of them ranked either as recognized or exemplary, the two highest rankings given by the Texas Educational Agency (TEA)! Rev. White oversees the development and coaching of couples considering marriage (engaged or not) through the Preparing for Marriage Course (PMC). This dynamic and engaging training leads participants to take a good look at themselves, at marriage, and at the knowledge and skills needed for a successful marriage. He also ministers in FWBC’s weekly Wednesday 12 noon Prayer & Bible Study sessions called the Word & Wonders on Wednesdays: Noon Edition.
Rev. William E. White has shared in ministry for more than thirty (30) years under the umbrella of churches including Bethel Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida, Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida, and Mt. Olive Baptist church in Arlington, Texas. He has been a dedicated and faithful member for twenty years at the Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where he currently serves as the Pastor of Children.
His decades of discipleship include diverse and dynamic ministry experiences in marriage and singles ministry, pastoral counseling, assimilation, writing, editing, and leadership training. He has hosted radio broadcasts that minister to men and can currently be heard on the Men’s Bible Study Program Mondays from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM on the internet station KGCMradio.com. He has taught and preached to national and international audiences.
Rev. White served as Board President of One Church, One Child, as a Texas Legislative Committee Member advocating for children, and as a teacher and leader with the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, an auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, USA., Inc. He had the privilege of traveling with the NBC, USA, Inc. to teach and preach in Germany.
Rev. White loves meeting new people and going to new places. He is a proud product of the Columbus public schools in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated with a Business degree from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida and with a Masters of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. He currently resides in Dallas with his wonderful wife of thirty (30) years, Cynthia White. Together, they are the proud parents of their son William and their twin daughters, Ngena and Ngina.
