Family & The Village
ARJ (Annette Reid-Jordan Adult Community) Members 55 and older together to grow in the Word and the will of God, to strengthen our fellowship within The West and with other churches, and to serve Christ and our community. We do service projects, fellowships, special events, travel excursions, Bible studies, and more. We also visit nursing homes, personal homes, and hospitals.

CHOSEN Generation Youth Ministry The C.H.O.S.E.N. Generation Youth Ministry (CHOSEN) connects young people to Jesus Christ, equips them to fight for justice, and empowers them to build the beloved community. Youth Church is the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month during both worship services.
Covenant Keepers Marriage Community We equip and empower people to live out marvellous marriages that glorify God, that deepen marital bonds, that strengthen families, and that develop beloved community. We provide dynamic discussions, engaging fellowships, exciting activities, and enriching Bible encounters. Nearl weds (people considering marriage), newlyweds, and persons married for decades are welcome and wanted.

DISCOVER Children's Community DISCOVER helps children & parents to develop as Disciples who love & live for the Lord 24/7/365! We provide an environment that's safe, fun, Christ-centered, culturally relevant, and excellent!
Orientation: 4th Sundays, 9:45 AM in room C105 Children’s Church (6 months – 5th grade): 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Sundays during each service. Check in Central is in room C106. Childcare is available in the ECC during Sunday service times when Children’s Church is not ministering.
OBLACC - (Operation Brothers Loving African Church and Community) Operation BLACC (Brothers Loving the African-American Church & Community), or OBLACC, develops and disciples men age 18 and older for leadership and ministry in the home, church, and community.
Women of the West (WOW) The Women of the West (WOW) Ministry Community serves all the women of Friendship West and provides support for Ashanti, our girls mentoring ministry. We address relevant issues for women including gender justice. We study and apply God’s Word and we build the Beloved Community through friendship and service.

Growth & Development
ASHANTI Ministry Community The Ashanti Ministry Community develops young ladies, ages 8 -18, into the strong women God has called them to be. These young ladies are assigned ladies as mentors for guidance and life lessons relevant to their everyday lives.

DIOP Ministry Community The Disciples in Ongoing Preparation (D.I.O.P.) Community embraces and mentor’s young men, ages 13-18. We train and mentor young men to be spiritually mature, emotionally stable, mentally excellent, culturally dignified, socially aware, physically fit, and financially free for the benefit of themselves, their DIOP brothers, their families, their church, and their community.
F.A.I.M. FAIM is a liberation ministry that helps leads people to financial freedom through God's Word. Our objective is for you to gain freedom from debt, so you can have a better relationship with God, serve and work on God's call on your life, and be able to use your resources to further your community.
Visitor Response Team We help receive our visitors, answer their questions, and, introduce them more fully to our church family’s ministry and movement. We invite visitors not only to worship with us again but to also be a part of the family of faith called Friendship-West!

Health & Wholeness
Be Made Whole (BMW) Counseling Ministry The Be Made Whole (BMW) Counseling Ministry supports mental health in our families, ministries, church, and community through training and appropriate intervention opportunities. This ministry is open to counselors and those interested in training to offer support to people who have experienced trauma.
Bereavement Ministry Community The Bereavement Ministry Community helps families after death to lay their loved ones to rest. We provide comfort, care, support, and services to those who have experienced loss through death. For services, please call our Pastoral Care Hotline at 972-228-7241.
Healthcare The Healthcare Community provides healthcare services to bless our congregation and community. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we make a difference holistically and spiritually by sharing our gifts, our skills, and our education.
Connection Center Community The Connection Center Community (C3) provides training, interviews, and coaching to help connect people to their purpose through the ministries and the movement of FWBC. We also staff the information center where people connect to the events, activities, values, ministries, procedures, resources, and life of Friendship-West.
Decision Counselors Ministry Community Decision Counselors help people to make a genuine spiritual decision leading to authentic discipleship relationships with God thru Jesus Christ. We pray with people and help them take their first steps to discipleship.
eMember Community The eMember community is an opportunity for those who connect with us online to become more fully integrated into the life of Friendship West. From officially joining Friendship West, to participating in in our online orientation and church projects, this community is designed to support each eMember as they join us in creating the Beloved Community.
First Friends Ministry Community First Friends call & contact New Members to connect them to the life and culture of Friendship-West. First Friends connect with people from the time that they join FWBC to the time that they actively connect to our beloved community.
New Members Education Ministry Community New Members Education teaches orientation and onboarding classes for new members. These sessions help New Members to take the next steps for discipleship, to comprehend our culture, and to begin to connect authentically to the beloved community.

Media Ministry The Media Ministry provides audio and video services for worship services and special events, both onsite and offsite, especially during Sunday Worship Services and Wednesday Night Bible Studies. We strive to serve our online worshipers so creatively and excellently that they feel like they are onsite with us. We welcome persons from age 13 and up to join our game-changing ministry!

Social Justice The Social Justice Ministry Community fights in the public square for an equitable society. We use social activism to help people who are impacted by injustice and we equip people who have a heart to exercise their faith in public life with the necessary resources to transform society.
TL Bonds Safety Community The TL Bonds Safety Community (TL Bonds or Safety) strives to maintain a safe environment. We provide training and safety services. We also strive to be a witness for Christ and to be model members of Friendship-West Baptist Church. Ministry Leader: Rev. Ephphatha~Deaf Action Ministry We teach and use American Sign Language to help the deaf and hearing impaired worship God and understand the Word of God. We help to bridge the gap between deaf culture and hearing culture.
Praise D.A.N.C.E. Girls, youth, and women age 5 and older use artistic movement and dance to worship God and to share the good news about Lord Jesus Christ. We minister on during FWBC worship services and during special occasions at FWBC and elsewhere.
Café West Breakfast Café West serves delicious breakfasts and warm hospitality between services on Sundays. We provide a space in the Willie Wilson Banquet Hall for guests and members to meet, to greet, and to fellowship with the beloved community. Serving here may require some lifting and labor.

Comforters The Comforters Ministry Community offers counseling and practical biblical application to help the congregation and community during a difficulty, after a loss, or through a crisis spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Generation NEXT The N.E.X.T. Generation College Ministry (Generation N.E.X.T.) enhances the spiritual life and collegiate experience of college students. We serve as a support system and resource to help maximize their academic achievements and preparation for life.
Hospitality Ministry Community The Hospitality Community creates an atmosphere of fantastic friendliness and helpful hospitality for each and every worshiper and guest. We are wonderful welcomers, eager escorts, and super sources of information. We serve on Sundays and special events. III Pyramids Bookstore III Pyramids bookstore sells products and merchandise that helps develop disciples and helps cultivate beloved community. Our products support our Christian growth, personal development, and social awareness.
Media Sales Media Sales Ministry sells FWBC media and merchandise onsite locally and online worldwide. We also provide ministry resources to those who are homebound, incarcerated, and unable to attend services physically.

Ministers-In-Training (M.I.T.) The Ministers in Training (MIT) Community helps train FWBC ministers for full-time or bi-vocational ministry. We supplement their formal training by providing personal development, Afrocentric instruction, and practical experience in preparation.
Music Ministry We glorify God and heighten the worship experience through song. We use spirituals, anthems, traditional, and contemporary gospel to give the Word of God musical meaning. This ministry includes the AG Ensemble, Mass Choir, Sanctuary Choir, OMG Choir, J. C. Holmes Male Chorus, Women’s Chorus, Praise Team, along with the Selah Youth Choir & Youth Praise Team and the Children’s Choir & Children’s Praise Team.
On A Mission (OAM) Ministry Community The On A Mission (OAM) Community serves the homeless community in southern Dallas. We call them VIPS, or Victory in Progress of Souls. We provide food, clothing, Christ-centered teaching, supportive personal connections, and related services. We give our VIPS the VIP treatment through inclusive gatherings and agape love, regardless of their physical, mental, or financial circumstances.
Selah Youth Choir The Selah Youth Choir provides an opportunity for youth to develop their musical talents, to express their creative gifts, and to grow as leaders by ministering musically during worship services.
Singles Ministry Community The Singles Ministry Community provides spiritual growth, fellowship opportunities, comfort in crisis, & support in connecting singles with their God-ordained purposes. We minster to persons 25 & older in our church or in the community who were never married or are not presently married.
Sports & Recreation Ministry Community Sports & Recreation shares training, activities, and opportunities to encourage a holistic, healthy lifestyle as well as to inspire vibrant community relationships for people of all ages.

The Park (Parking Lot Ministry Community) We are the first to show friendship and love to guests and members. We eagerly direct traffic, excitedly assist or answer general questions, and enthusiastically lead and help first time visitors to visitor parking, to the building, and to their cars again.
Meeting Days & Times: Every 2nd Saturdays of the month 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Ushers Ministry Community Ushers help guests and attendees find seating as they enter the auditorium. We help everyone to feel welcome, wanted, and comfortable. We also guide traffic flow when attendees have to move en masse during services and programs or in case of emergencies.
Meetings: Adult Ushers meet 2nd Mondays at 7:00 p.m. Junior Ushers meet 2nd Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. Service Times: Adult Ushers serve 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5th Sundays at both services Junior Ushers serve only the 11:00 a.m. service on 2nd Sundays
Voices That Shout (VTS) The Voices That Shout (VTS) Ministry Community supports women who have been traumatized by domestic violence and abuse. We provide crisis referrals, education, advocacy, and healing. It also serves men and family members who have been affected by domestic violence and abuse. Members and friends who seek gender justice, who want to build healthy relationships, or who want to break the cycle of abuse are welcome.
Youth Drama Ministry The Youth Drama Ministry provides an opportunity for youth to develop their dramatic talents, to express their creative gifts, and to enhance the Youth Church worship experience. We work with the Worship and Arts Committee minister through drama.

Youth Ministry Praise Team The Youth Praise Team helps to set an atmosphere of worship. We provide an opportunity for youth to develop musical talents, express their creative gifts, and lead in praise and song in Youth Church worship.
