Why are your services available only online? We are commanded both to love God with all our being and to love our neighbor as ourselves! Consequently, we are compassionately concerned for the safety and well-being of people in general and of our members, staff, volunteers, and visitors in particular. To be clear, we have not closed the church; we have merely been redeployed. However, in an attempt to limit the spread of the novel Coronavirus and the impact of COVID-19, we have temporarily closed our facilities to the public and taken our services online. As we continue to practice the best safety protocols, only essential staff is allowed on site during services. Please check our website and join us online not only on Sundays but for all of our service offerings.
What are your online Sunday services like? Our services are as engaging and exciting online as they are in person! You might be blessed by the praise & worship, by the music & singing, by the dancing or the drama, by the live or video presentations, or by any other number of ways that you can experience God with us. One thing is for sure – you will be encouraged and inspired by the teaching and preaching of the Word of God! While our services are virtual, we hope your worship participation remains actual by continuing in the rituals and routines that helped you worship when you celebrated the Lord onsite! You might still put on your Sunday’s best, participate in singing, clap your hands, raise your hands, or shout in line with our dialectical call and response worship style! Whether you are typically more introverted or extroverted in your worship, please do let our services help you worship the Lord right there in your home, in your car, or wherever you may be when you join our services.
How do you acknowledge Visitors in your online services? During this time of physical distancing we would love for you to let us know you are streaming with us. We never want you to feel uncomfortable; but we do want to show our guests some love to let you know we are glad you are visiting; however, the level of interaction is up to you. For those who Text FWVIZ to 28950 while our service is broadcasting live, we have prepared a special experience immediately after the live broadcast. Either way, we look forward to your worshipping with us! How does your church help those in need? “Friendship-West has been the “Life Support” to individuals, families, and communities - providing food, shelter, education, healthcare, and other life giving and life sustaining resources. With the generosity of our family of faith and the support of the friends of Friendship-West, we will continue this strong tradition by placing an emphasis on those in need (social service) and on the area of public policy (social justice). We hope you feel inspired to help us continue our “Life Support” efforts.
