Rev. William E. White
Pastor of Children, Friendship-West Baptist Church

Rev. William E. White serves as the Pastor of Children with the Friendship-West Baptist Church. He is recognized as a positive and persuasive communicator, a strong and conscientious Bible expositor, a ready and willing prayer warrior, an insightful and perceptive counselor, and a visionary, innovative leader. Most of all, he is a child of God who strives to be used of God to bless the people of God to the glory God.

Rev. White has served in ministry for twenty-five (25) years with churches that include Bethel Baptist Church ( Tallahassee, Florida), Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church ( Gainesville, Florida), Mt. Olive Baptist Church ( Arlington, Texas). He has been involved in a variety of ministry areas with FWBC as the ministry has grown over the past 13 years from baptisms to funerals, from membership to weddings, from publications to worship. He currently oversees ministries to children, to couples preparing for marriage, and to Christian learners at our weekly Wednesday noon Bible studies.

Pastor White has a diversity of ministry exposure beyond the walls as well, having been involved in home bible studies, nursing home ministry, street ministry, and prison ministry. He hosted a radio broadcast called “Manhood” that focused on reaching and ministering to men. This diversity of experience has enabled him to minister to children, teenagers, young adults, singles, marrieds, and leaders through seminars, workshops, retreats, and conferences.

As Pastor of Children, he engages and inspires children not only when he ministers at FWBC, but he also encourages and motivates teachers and administrators when he speaks in school programs and assemblies. He has been a champion for children through organizations such as One Church One Child of Texas, the Texas legislative Advisory Committee to Promote the Adoption of Minority, and the Children’s Rally with the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, an auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, USA., Inc.

As a staff pastor, Pastor White plans ministry goals and objectives, organizes activities to support the Senior Pastor’s vision and complement departmental plans , directs staff and volunteers, and controls calendar and budgetary resources. He works to help people recognize and utilize their God-given talents and gifts to bless the Body of Christ and to benefit the community.

Pastor White has a degree in Business from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida and a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in Texas. He lives in Dallas with his wonderful wife of twenty-five (25) years, Cynthia White along with their son William and twin daughters Ngena and Ngina.
