SCRIPTURE
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
How often do we battle thoughts in our minds we know are not pleasing to God? If we ponder those thoughts long enough, eventually we may act on them. We must be careful to guard our thoughts and bring them into the obedience of Christ.
APPLICATION
List five things you gave thought to this week. How many were pleasing to God? Did you act on those things you knew were out of God’s will?
PRAYER
Father God, we ask that you help us have the mind of Christ. We ask that you pull down all strongholds through your mighty name and continue to guard our hearts and minds with your peace so we can be used by you.

SCRIPTURE
John 16:23-24
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
We now have Christ as the great mediator between us and God. Let us ask Him for all our needs, for protection, His love and to show us our purpose in Him. Jesus promised our joy will be complete. It can’t be complete if we are in need, in pain or confused.
APPLICATION
Make a list of all the things hindering you from having complete joy. Now pray and ask God to do all that is needed to make your joy complete.
PRAYER
Father God, in the name of Jesus I ask you to help me have complete joy. First, show me how to depend on you for my needs and then show me how to use what you have given me to bless others. |
SCRIPTURE
Psalms 138:1- 3
I give you thanks, O LORD, with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods.2 I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.3 As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.
FOOD FOR
THOUGHT
How many times has God showered us with blessings and we did take the time to say thank you? If for no other reason, we should say thanks because God has given us life.
APPLICATION
Take a moment to praise God and worship Him today without asking for anything. Tell God how good He is and how much you appreciate Him. Then thank him for all He has done.
PRAYER
Father God, I ask that you forgive me whenever I fail to thank you every day for being my God. Give me a heart to worship You everyday of my life. I sing your praises because you are everything I need you to be. |
SCRIPTURE
John 14: 13-14
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
It is a wonderful thing to know we have a Father in heaven who cares about our needs, thoughts and concerns. Jesus said, “Ask anything in my name.” Have you prayed and asked God to meet your needs and the needs of others in Jesus’ name?
APPLICATION
Find a scripture in the Bible that supports your request of God. If it is healing find a scripture that promises God’s healing power. Stand on that scripture as you pray to God to change your situation.
PRAYER
Father God, your Word says that you are the same today, yesterday and will be forever. I need your healing touch right now to change my situation, and my circumstance. Heal me now so you can use me, my gifts and my finances for the building of your kingdom. |
