| 35Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." | |||||||||
For the past 32 years, Friendship-West has sought to do the will of God fulfilling His purpose for the church and expanding the work of Christ in the world. To date, we continue to pray and work, asking the Holy Spirit to lead us. Throughout this journey of faith, we have shared a vision and determined, by God’s grace, to build a legacy in this community that will enable us to attract people of all backgrounds to our Lord – Jesus Christ. With this cause in mind, we’ve embarked on Phase II of “Our Vision for the Village” the Socio-Economic chapter of the Master’s Plan for the “West.” As many will testify, since we began this journey we have sensed as seen the hand of God. He has been and continues to direct our steps. My heart is overflowing with praise as the vision becomes clearer and brighter. Together we can build a lighthouse for the lost and a greenhouse for the saved. Together we can Equip Changed People to Change the World. Please remember what Our Vision for the Village is all about. We are not merely building buildings, but we are fulfilling the calling to transform lives for the glory of God. We can only continue to minister effectively by making provision for the thousands who are yet to be reached for Christ. The need is now and is very real. The proposed buildings are not monuments but instruments for God's church to use in fulfilling the Great Commission. I invite you to join in this awesome move of God. Please take time to embrace this God given vision for Phase II and join the countless others who have decided to help transform a community.
