The Scope of the Project Scope of the Project The scope of this project is based on the mission of the Office of Justice which is to strengthen the presence of people of color in the policy arena by combating degenerative policy design, policing regulatory guidelines, engaging in activism (direct action), and educating citizens on issues, enlist churches, community organizations, corporations, schools, city, state and national government, and citizens to build stronger neighborhoods to promote human rights and democracy. “Creating a Community of Opportunity” was launched on Saturday, September 15, 2007. Dallas Mayor and City Council Representatives met at Friendship - West Baptist Church to start the process of on going meetings and establish Friendship West as a Resource Center and create a Summer Youth Job Program. |
