OUR VISION FOR THE VILLAGE

Beyond Ourselves, Within Our Reach

Q. What is “Our Vision for the Village”
A. “Our Vision for the Village” is our opportunity to focus on the needs of our community. The purpose of this campaign is to encourage people to willingly grow in the grace of giving - without coercion or pressure. As each of us grows in the grace of giving, God can use us to accomplish His will for His church and use us to meet the needs of our community and future generations for Christ. “Our Vision for the Village” is about honoring our commitment to becoming a Christian community within the community that transforms the community.

Q. What is the plan for Phase II?
A. The plan for Phase II has five parts:
(1) To build the “Inspotainment Center”, a building that will better accommodate our youth while providing a place for them to worship and enjoy a venue designed for family fun;
(2) To continue to provide human/social services to those in need through a Storehouse located on our current campus;
(3) To reduce our remaining debt on the construction of our worship and conference center; and
(4) To provide single family housing and an apartment community for our Seniors along with a shopping plaza complete with a pharmacy, grocery store, clinics and other fabulous amenities;
(5) and a Garage to safely house our vehicles and provide additional storage space.

Q. What can I do?
A. You can begin now by fasting and praying to know and do God’s will concerning your gift to this campaign. Spend time in prayer and in God’s Word as you seek to discover His will. The amount He leads you to give will be the right amount.

Q. What about my regular giving?
A. Your commitment to “Our Vision for the Village” should be an amount God leads you to give over and above your regular tithe and offerings. We must maintain our giving to the operating budget so that day-to-day church operations will be unaffected.

Q. How long do I give?
A. You will receive a commitment card and be asked to fill out the card with the amount you intend to give over a three-year period. You can also commit online. You may give weekly, monthly, annually, or in a lump sum. Most people prefer a system of regular weekly giving; however, you should make your decision based on God’s will and the best method for you.

Q. How should I give?
A. There are a few ways to give:
• Ask God for creative ways to increase your gift. Involve your whole family in raising a specific amount for your offering;

• You can make a pledge to give. The giving period will last for three years starting in October 2007. You can give far more when it is spread out over time, and you may choose to give weekly, monthly, or even make annual payments. Please select the best giving method for you and your family; and

• If you have any questions about giving a gift of assets, or any other questions about your giving, please contact Veta Holt, Chief Administrations Officer for assistance at (972) 228-5200.

Q. How will I know how much to give?
A. The Bible says, “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessings of the Lord, your God, which He has given you.” (Deuteronomy 16:17) Pray daily and allow God to open your
heart and direct you about your commitment. Through prayer and personal assessment, you will know what to give.

Q. Will my contribution be made public?
A. No, absolutely not. Only the total of all commitments received will be announced.
