Reverend Mark Edwards
Pastor of Community Outreach, Faith Formula Human Services Corporation

Rev. Mark Edwards is a native of Los Angeles, California where he and his wife Lula were actively involved in ministry at Faithful Central Baptist Church and Central Baptist Church for nearly twenty years. In 1997, Rev. Edwards was licensed in ministry and received his ordination in 2001. He completed course work at Biola Christian University, California State University Dominquez Hills and received his Masters in Business Administration at the University Of Phoenix, Dallas.

While in Los Angeles, Rev. Edwards reached more than 10,000 youth and families in Watts, California. He has over fifteen years experience in directing and coordinating comprehensive community-based programs; including, the FWBC - L.I.F.E. Matters Healthy Marriage Initiative (Learning Important Family Education), LAUSD - Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Juvenile Justice Programs, and countless other community development programs.

In 2004, God called Rev. Edwards, his wife, and their three children, Krista, Myles and Kennedy out of Los Angeles to Dallas, Texas. In 2006, God opened the door-of-opportunity for him and his family to join the fabulous family of faith - Friendship West Baptist Church (FWBC), where he later became a Staff Pastor and Administrator for Faith Formula Human Services; which is a non-profit organization of FWBC. Although, Faith Formula provides a cadre of human services, Rev. Edwards’ primary focus is to uphold Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III’s “Bill of Rights for The Poor” by providing community outreach, social action, and social services throughout South Dallas.
