V.O.I.C.E. (Vehicles Of Inspiration, Communication, and Education) Communications Ministry ensures that the image of Friendship-West is portrayed in direct alignment with the mission and vision of the church. Because we are charged with equipping changed people to change the world, every media piece of the church should inspire people to get involved in the work that we do, communicate the gospel message in a unique and relevant way, and educate the congregation, community, and world on what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ. Through the teamwork that exists between our Audio & Video Production and Communications teams we are able to disseminate and saturate the church, community, and nation with the full gospel through print, audio and visual communications.

Purpose
The Friendship-West Baptist Church Department of Communications is responsible for effectively and efficiently communicating the mission and vision of the church in a way that reveals the excellence of the God we serve and exemplifies the work that Jesus left us to do within the community. We are to ensure that our image and message is consistent across every form of media both internally to externally.

FWBC News Feature Stories
Featured FWBC News Stories will be determined either by :
• Church Wide Event Calendar
• Monthly Theme
• Impact the story has on the community and its relevance to the FWBC mission

All submissions for FWBC news features will be reviewed and given consideration if the above criteria is met. Our goal is to have stories outlined at least one month in advance, therefore all requests should be submitted a minimum of one month prior to desired air date.

V.O.I.C.E. E-Ministry
E-Ministry is designed specifically for those who have a desire to serve but are unable to attend regularly scheduled meetings due to work schedules, extensive travel, or other extenuating circumstances. If you have internet access, a passion for communications and the following skills, we welcome you to join us:

Proofreaders
These unique teams of committed individuals are needed to proofread any printed information disseminated to the congregation and outside the walls of the church. From the website to the Praise & Power Pages we need people who enjoy reading, absolutely hate spelling and grammatical errors and have a passion for the purpose of this ministry.

Praise & Power Pages Contributing Writers
This creative team will help us to enhance the content of our quarterly magazine that seeks to empower, educate, and inform the congregation and nation. Our goal is to increase distribution ensuring that the homes in our neighboring communities receive this valuable publication. What is your expertise? We need your commitment to provide articles for the following departments:
• Family Matters (Marriage, Youth, Children, Parenting articles)

Media Sales
The media sales team is dedicated to serving our members and visitors with a positive attitude, a warm smile, and with a calm, cool and collected disposition. We ask all members of this team to be tithing members of Friendship-West. Duties include producing, on site and in a timely manner, an adequate quantity of CDs for sale immediately following our 8:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday Worship Services and Wednesday night Bible Study. Occasionally, we have special events that may require assistance with ticket sales as well as media sales. Our goal is to expand our sales locations to accommodate our large membership. We are waiting on you to help us feed the sheep through this great ministry!

Sales & Marketing
Do you have sales and marketing skills? If so, we need your assistance in helping us to take our website and the Praise and Power Pages Magazine to the next level. In order for us to accomplish the goal of getting our magazines into the hands of our neighborhoods at no cost to our neighbors we need to involve businesses within the community through advertisement sales. This is your opportunity to not only serve in your area of giftedness but join us in empowering and transforming the community.

Kingdom Kopy Volunteers
God has blessed us with our own copy center that not only serves our church but provides printing services to individuals, businesses and other churches within the community. Whether you have administrative skills to assist with filing and organization or you are computer literate and want to learn how to run the equipment in the copy center a volunteer opportunity awaits you.

Media Ministry Volunteers
If you have videography, photography, and/or sound experience we have room for you in our media ministry. As we prepare to broaden our television and radio ministries your expertise will be extremely valuable in our goal to minister to individuals across the world.

The Communications Ministry serves the entire church and touches through some aspect nearly every area of ministry. This broad range means we must be knowledgeable about many areas of God's work through our church, and be diligent in keeping up with communications needs as far in advance as possible. Our job is to communicate the total ministry of the church.
